Had the classic BEC for lunch today and it was delicious. The bagel was chewy and the egg was perfectly cooked and bacon was crispy and it was sprinkled in like bacon bits. I placed an order for pick up and my order was neatly packaged and ready for pick up.

The bagels from black seed just has the perfect chewiness I don't find elsewhere. However, this Nolita location is by far the best. Even if the only left are the bagels from prior day, they still taste great. I can always get something enjoyable even if they are sold out of my favorites (poppy seed and sesame). The staff at this location are the friendliest of them all.

I was in New York during the time that the limited edition Baogel was out, and as an appreciator of barbecue pork buns I thought it would be nice to give it a try. The place is relatively small, with a small amount of seating and a sort of a wooden interior. I also recall there being a pitcher of water, alongside some additional stuff like coffee creamer and other items similar to that. I recalled the wifi being spotty at the time, but we were able to get one of the last couple of Baogels at the shop which was pretty cool. For the Baogel itself, I recalled it being more bread than meat, which was much different than what I was expecting. It wasn't terrible, but I would probably stick to a typical barbeque pork bun. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, but not one that was particuarly memorable. I suppose I may have had my expectations too high.

So so good, the staff was super friendly but the wait for the bagel was around 15 minutes on a Thursday morning We just waited in line outside , no problem. The everything bagel combined with the juicy tomato and filling avocado made for the perfect breakfast bite. Dijon mustard was a nice touch too

Black Seed Bagels, we finally meet. I've lived in New York my entire life, My Ancestry DNA has me pegged as 2% Flatbush Avenue. I understand these are Montreal Style Bagels, as a New Yorker I welcome regional foods into my city. Detroit Style pizza has been welcomed and accepted by all. I walk into the store early Saturday morning with no line. I ask for one of their special B.E.Cs on a bagel. I buy a chocolate chocolate chip cookie and two coffees. It was a little pricey but the hype has me reaching into my wallet. The eggs and bacon are cooked to perfection. This is a nice handheld, I would go far to say elegant in its presentation. The bagel itself is what's throwing me. It's a bagel that you wouldn't expect to purchase in NYC. The toothiness is missing. When you bite into a NYC bagel, the outside shell should have a grab, almost like a crunch. This was like biting into bread and is there malt or salt in these bagels? I ordered an everything bagel and it didn't satisfy my bagel craving. Black Seed Bagels, you're in my New York City. If there are homesick Canucks visiting, now they have a place where they can eat a hometown bagel. New Yorkers should not wait on line for these bagels, there are too many good Bagel spots to choose from in the Big Apple. Good, not great. Signed, Bill S

You come here for an artisanal bagel - the specials run roughly $15 a pop. The staff were gracious and quick. We ordered the salmon classic on an everything bagel and it was delicious! We were asked if we wanted it toasted and we said yes. I appreciated how they didn't burn the garlic on the bagel - very common at bagel joints. Everything was fresh and the smoked salmon tasted quality. There's pre-packaged day-old bagels (about 6) for $5 that our family took home, refrigerated and ate for the next 3 days. Toasted, it was pretty good. The inside is simple, about 5 tabletops, no bathroom. I appreciate that there's free water and recycling for the plastic water cups. Definitely a hipster vibe from hipster Brooklyn for tasty hipster bagels. If you're looking for a classic NYC bagel, Russ and Daughters is around the corner.

Holy...! I'm glad the guys at Peak Design recommended this place since I was looking for a bagel sandwich nearby since I had some time to kill. The BEC crafted BSB should be the standard for ALL NYC bagel shops to follow - this is the epitome of a BEC. An excellent bagel toasted to perfection with cage-free eggs, a GENEROUS portion of bacon, and melted cheddar - OMG the cheddar - with a little bit of ketchup and pepper! Last but not least, shoutout to the team at this location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the host/cashier and it was a loud greeting - I thought it was great! All-in-all, good customer service, the team had it together, like a well-greased wheel, and a GREAT bagel sandwich (the tunes weren't bad either) - I'll definitely be back :)
